Keen Springwater are the very first cycling shoes from KEEN
which have the closed toe. It’s attractive, comfortable and
ideal for daily use. Its upper is made from webbing of mesh
and leather which ensure good air pass to keep the
breathability of the shoe at its best. The personalized fit is
achieved with hook-and-loop closure system. The lining of
textile which is treated with AEGIS Microbe Shield® draws the
moisture away to keep the foot fresh, dry and healthy. It also
features plate which is compatible with SPD and runs in full
length. It also has plate which is cleat cap and made from TPU.
The footbed is Metatomical and it can be removed. The ultimate
protection at the toe is possible with KEEN® Patented Toe
Protection system. Its outsole is made from rubber which is
non marking and ensures great traction and durability. It
weighs 13 ounces as per size 6.
It is a great winter cycling
shoe which Keen seems to be the only manufacturer which makes
them wide enough for my feet. These shoes are heavier than the
other road shoes I have, but definitely the worth it because
of the warmth it provides. I also have the Keen cycling sandal
shoe for summer which is working really well and I am happy to
have that one. It is a great shoe for biking and still being
able to walk around the city. I am in love with Keen shoes.
When I saw that they have launched a Bike shoe, I was
extremely excited. The only issue that I have faced in this
shoe is the sizing problem. I normally wear this sandal in
size 10 and after reading other reviews I ordered a size 10.5,
but still it was short and narrow for me. Then I replaced it
with a size 11, but it was a bit wider, therefore I decided to
keep these and I wear them with a thick socks. I didn’t want
to return this fabulous shoe and would definitely use it to
its full. It is a very nice shoe over all to wear while
cycling or biking.
