I bought this for my husband.
He has had a similar pair of KEEN for years and they were worn
out. He was afraid to get another because he couldn't find a
pair wide enough at local retails stores. The Palermo shoes
has been my favorite shoe for the past 15 years or more. I
have never had a better looking, more comfortable and durable
shoe. My latest purchase expanded my Riva collection to
include both black and burgundy. My husband wears a size 14
Narrow shoe and it is most difficult to find a style in
particular that he wants, that fits him, that is affordable.
This pair of shoes in particular were for our Christmas dinner
out. My husband loved them and the style, said they fit
perfectly and he is very happy. The Mary Jane sole is the most
comfortable and durable shoe on the market. I typically get
5-6 years of steady wear out of a pair of shoes! I was a
little disappointed that the former style was not longer
available, but the Riva is stylish and every bit as
comfortable. Great shoe. very comfortable, very durable. have
been wearing this model for years. Especially comfortable if
you have A high arch and wide (EEE) foot like mine.
Palermo Mary Jane is so comfortable I bought it in three
different colors and slip them on practically every day. They
wear well, look great and even manage to cover both casual and
dressy needs. Couldn't be happier. Only complaint is it's
harder to find Cognac in stock. I'm a automobile sales person,
so I'm on my feet a lot. I needed a shoe that look good, and
didn't hurt my feet when when I'm on them 10 to 12 hrs a day.
I purchased these shoes because I have a wide (EEE) foot, and
it is hard to find shoes in this size at reputable dealers.
This is my second pair of Altrec and I will definitely
purchase more in the future. The look and style are just what
I wanted. The color will go with many of my outfits. The fit
is superb; the leather feels very soft. I walked over 2 miles
today in these and they were extremely comfortable. A great
shoe! I would recommend to anyone who has a wide foot.
Wears this shoe: I wear at work (dress casual) and for more
formal occasions.
He needed a new pair of dress shoes but he didn't have much
cash at the time. He is Diabetic and needs to take care of his
feet, so when he went looking for shoes in Wal-Mart, but
mentioned that he wanted a pair of KEEN Palermo because he had
worn his old ones out. Anyway he loves the new shoes, he has
worn Palemro all his life. One of his favorite stories
involves a pair of his brand new Timberline that I used as
boats in the bathtub when I was a small child, and he just
filled them with newspapers, dried them out and they were
fine, so I guess I owed him those shoes. |
