I had seen the shoe in the
store. I ordered it as a gift and it was pretty close to
Christmas but the package came in time and it was exactly what
I wanted. I had shoes very similar to this that were worn out
and I wanted to replace them. I ordered European size 42,
which is supposed to be equivalent to a USA womens size 11. I
couldn't get my foot all the way into them because the instep
was too shallow. Otherwise they were good quality and
workmanship.
I like the product very much, but found sizing information
provided for translating to European sizing incorrect. I am a
large 5 1/2 and can sometimes wear a 6. I ordered a European
size 37 and had to return it for a 36. I like the looks, a
very stylish shoe. However, I am very unsatisfied with the
quality. I have worn them very lightly for about a week and a
half and the wool is pulling away from the cork on both shoes
at the arches of your foot. Otherwise, a very nice look and
feel and a very warm wool shoe! Charleston are the best shoes,
I have found. I like the hippy-ish look to them, and their
very comfortable. But, I do buy them because, of the arch
support. They've really helped my feet. I wear them all the
time, even in the house. I need the support they give me. This
is an extremely comfortable shoe, I love wearing it, my feet
never hurt or get tired on days when I'm walking in this clog.
I bought these as a Christmas gift to replace a very old pair.
They were in wonderful condition, as described, and the
shipment arrived promptly. These shoes are great for kicking
around in winter. They keep your toes warm, but you have to
make sure to wear them only on dry days. The cork will
deteriorate if they are exposed to too much rain or snow. |
